Hi, before you get started, we've been asked by our friends to explain a little something about what Jumblr is.

On Jumblr you can give away things that have been taking up space for too long, or you can look for things other people are giving away.

The rule at Jumblr is everything is offered free.

By re-using our stuff we help the community, de-clutter our homes and really do a lot to help the environment.

      I want more detail
      Ok, let me get started

      How do I use Jumblr?

      x

Want to get rid of something yourself? Click list an item and you’ll see the login or signup screen.

Just complete your email address and a password and click Sign Up.

You’ll receive an email, just click the link inside this email and you’ll be ready to login.

Want to take something? Click the contact button and fill in your email address and a message.

We will send this to the person offering this item, they will then be able to send you an email and you two sort out how to collect.

Grab and drag the map to your area. Then you can see what people near you are giving away.

Put your mouse over the markers to get a quick idea of what things are.

Click the markers to see more details.

Hate clutter? Wanna find cool stuff?

      Hi there!

We are Mark Meyer, Peter MacRobert and Delwyn de Villiers and we conceptulised and built Jumblr. We're long-time friends who met in Cape Town, South Africa, many years ago. Mark and Pete are also partners in Empire42 Ltd, a London-based Ruby on Rails agency.

We built Jumblr to make it easy to get rid of the stuff you've got lying around, without adding to the Earth's over-burdened landfills.

Our aim is to get more people to see the benefits in passing things on and increase awareness of our impact on the planet.

We promise to keep your email address private and you will only get email from us when someone wants to take something you've offered or if we think there's something you really need to know.

If you like what we're doing or want to get in touch then please send us a message via the feedback form or drop us an email on help@jumblr.org.

      Happy hunting!

      Mark and Pete
